Radio Fox Hunting

Radio Fox hunting or Direction Finding (DF) events are popular with FARS members during the spring and summer months.

Radio Fox Hunting involves a transmitter hidden within area SD 27 on an Ordinance Survey map transmitting 5W or less.

The Transmitter will TX for 2 minutes and go silent for 3 minutes.  

Start times are 19.00 so next transmission would be at 19.05, 19.10, 19.15, 19.20, 19.25 etc up to an end time of 20.30.

The winner is the first to find the fox (either as an individual or as a team) and becomes the fox for the next outing.
